About Me

I started my career in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in the year 2000 from Nepal. I moved to Australia in the year 2007.
At the start of my career in Australia, I was working as a registrar at a tertiary hospital in Adelaide (WCH). Here most of my training involved management of high-risk pregnancy, quite different from my experience in Nepal.
I was actually preventing complications!
After 5 years of training in Adelaide, we decided to move to beautiful and sunny town - Bendigo. I finished my training here at Bendigo Health in 2015 and chose to set up practice here in Bendigo. I enjoy looking after women with fertility issues and minimal invasive surgery (key hole) surgery is my passion. Since receiving further training in both these areas, I have never looked back!
I love the vibrant city of Bendigo and the community has made me feel so very welcome. Bendigo has since become my home.

Anju's objective in private practice is to provide personalised care to the highest standards to women from all walks of life. Her aim is to provide evidence based sound clinical advise to women so that the women can make informed decision about their treatment.

She enjoys teaching and regularly mentors medical students and trainee obstetricians and gynaecologists. She also participates in midwife education.

Anju  takes pleasure in attending conferences and workshops for new updates. Quality control and clinical outcomes is a priority to her and she regularly participates in audits and strives to improve and implement policy and procedures to that end.

As a busy clinician and parent to her two gorgeous boys, Anju understands the difficulties of attending appointments and undergoing treatment whilst managing a personal work and life. She therefore, endeavours to provide a care plan that is centred to her patients lifestyle whenever possible.
